Course Design
As an educator with over 16 years of teaching in both collegiate and high school settings, I have developed strong skills in instructional design. Shaping the education of over 10,000 students across three higher-education settings and three high schools, I have designed and developed more than 20 courses. See examples of my process and results!
Tools used: Canvas, Articulate RISE, Articulate Storyline, Adobe InDesign, Camtasia, MS Office Suite, and Canva.

Learning Materials
Check out the comprehensive, interactive, multimedia resources developed in collaboration to serve as the foundational learning materials for online courses. Working closely with another instructional designer, myself, and another SME authored original OER content. This content was carefully designed to be engaging, incorporating various multimedia elements and exercises. These materials were designed to be used college-wide, reflecting a commitment to quality, inclusivity, and adaptability in online education.
Tools Used: Articulate 360 Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Canvas, SCORM, and Camtasia.

Assessments
With my years of experience in education, I have seen the need to shift from traditional assessments like multiple choice questions and standard essays. More interactive, creative, and personal approaches are necessitated by the diverse learning styles and technological advancements in our classrooms. Designing such assessments requires a blend of various instructional design techniques and tools, ensuring that they not only measure student understanding effectively but also motivate learners. Take a look at some of my creative alternatives to traditional assessments.
Tools Used: Canvas, Word, Excel, Canvas Studio, Camtasia, and Stable Diffusion.

Micro-Lessons
Often instructors discover a learning deficit in their students that is widespread and becomes a barrier to successful progress. Sometimes a short lesson can solve that deficit without taking up too much time for the instructor, micro-lessons are designed to address this need. Check out an example I designed in collaboration to combat students struggling with understanding academic research.
Tools Used: Articulate RISE, Articulate Replay, HTML, Sharepoint, and HCC Library Database.

Video Lessons
Due to current trends, using short videos for quick and effective teaching of concepts or demonstration of procedures can sometimes be the best approach. Various methods of video production can be used based on the specific requirements of the situation.
Tools Used: Powtoons, Camtasia, Canvas Studio, Microsoft Studio, and YouTube.
